It's that time again... Time for our monthly blog hop with the Glitter Queens 😍
We're kicking off the New Year featuring all things NEW from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration and/or Occasions Catalogs. I don't know about you, but I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sooooooo many things from these new catalogs! I honestly had a REALLY hard time figuring out what I was going to feature this month...
Since I couldn't make up my mind, I finally settled on sharing 3 cards with you. 😍
But don't worry! They are all created using basically the same materials 😉 Let's take a look!!
For my first card I started with some shimmery white card stock and simply doused it with water before sprinkling on some of the amazing Brusho Crystal Colours using the green, blue & yellow... (( the trick here is to saturate the paper before adding the crystals so that they start spreading right away.)) I also sprayed more water in some areas after I had sprinkled the crystals to get the desired effect of mixed colors before setting it aside to let it all dry.
Once the card stock was dry, I used my aqua painter to add quite a few droplets of water. The water droplets spread and give a pretty cool droplet effect adding more texture and movement to this deep sea background.
Here's a closer look at the finished mermaid shaker card
😍 I've Gotta Say, I'm TOTALLY loving Brusho!!! 😍
😍 I've Gotta Say, I'm TOTALLY loving Brusho!!! 😍
For my next card I followed the same steps as the first, but used mainly Green with just a bit of blue to brighten up the color ** It is so fun to add colors to get just the right look your going for ((makes me feel like an artist...if only for a moment! 😉)) Next, I stamped the dragon using Memento Black then cut him and the flame out with the coordinating dies and my trusty big shot.
I just LOVE how the sparkles from the Shimmery white card stock shine through the colors on each of the cards to add that extra special touch!!!😍
I used mostly the blue crystals for this card but I also added a little red to give a slight purple tint. ** Again my tip here is LOTS & LOTS of water... You really have to have a good amount of water so that the color spreads and blends. Next, I added the adorable unicorn that has been kissed with just a touch of pink 💝 and then finished it off with a pretty bow and my favorite sparkly sequins 💖 So pretty and FUN!!
Thanks for stoping by today! I hope I have inspired you to try out the new Brusho Crystal Colours for yourself.. 💞 By the way, You should totally try them! You won't be sorry you did!!! 😉😍😃
