Welcome my creative friends, I'm so glad you're here!
Todays FUN 80's Vibe Card came together completely by accident...
But I must say, I LOVE the way it turned out! Maybe because I'm a kid from the 80's and this retro look just makes me want to listen to some mix tapes and break out dancing!😍 Or maybe it's because I love a happy accident, either way I hope you enjoy what I have created for you today.
Today for your creative inspiration I want to share with you a bit of the story of how this fun and vibrant card came together.
As I was working on putting together a card, I started with embossing a piece of whisper white card stock. I love the brick embossing folder but when I pulled out my paper, I realized that I had grabbed a piece that already had a partially stamped image. Although this was a mistake, I immediately was inspired. I envisioned my lady striking her cool pose in front of a graffiti painted brick wall and was literally giddy with excitement.
Unfortunately, I quickly realized that there was a little problem with my idea.... You see, I didn't have the slightest clue as to where to start in creating any type of graffiti art (😬lol!) I quickly went over to google for inspiration and even attempted to recruit my teenage daughter (( Not sure why but she wasn't feeling my artistic vision 😏 )) I was really struggling with how to put the card together. I guess I got a little stuck in my head because I wanted....
no, I NEEDED GRAFFITI.
Eventually I did decided to put the card aside for a bit. Because sometimes you just have to get out of your own head to let your inner artist out. 😉 (( and I'm so glad I did. )) After a few days, I returned to my blank white brick wall with just a girl striking a pose and decided maybe if I added some color I would be able to figure it out...... Well as you can see adding a little color did the trick and I think it all came together quite nicely. Don't you? 💖
I absolutely love that we can make beautiful things even out of our mistakes and I just wanted to share with you how this card came together as I hope you will be inspired to keep pushing yourself creatively and see what FUN creations you will make. 😀
